Warringah Mall Eagles Angels and Myer help Josh and Fiji Rugby League.

1/9/2009           By Mary Finkelsen - Eagles Angels Manager

Over the last two weeks Josh (Perry) has called on all fans to help him support Fiji Rugby League by donating old football boots that will go to young adults and children in Fiji who otherwise would be playing barefoot.

"I saw first hand a few years back how much the Fijians love their Rugby League when visiting some villages but with all the civil unrest and poverty in their country footwear for playing sport is a luxury" Josh said.

The Sea Eagles fans responded by bringing their old boots to Brookvale Oval on Sunday for the game against the Sharkies.

To help Josh's cause the Angels major sponsors Warringah Mall and Myer Warringah Mall both donated a $250 shopping vouchers.  Angels Layne, Wendy

and Nici chose two winners out of the many donators at half time during the match.  That’s not bad for handing in your old boots!

Now if you think you’ve missed the chance……..there is time to still hand in your old boots.  No chance of a prize but doesn’t

matter you’ll still feel good helping a good cause.  Contact the Manly club 9970 3000.

Thank you to Josh for a great initiative and to the Manly fans for a great response.

Thank you for your great support…….Warringah Mall and Myer Warringah Mall.
