From the Eagles Angels Lounge....

Despite out loss to Brisbane on the weekend we all had a lot of fun in the Eagles Angels Lounge.  This week the girls from News Limited enjoyed some pampering from Honeybody Salon and Joh Bailey hairdressers while sipping champagne.

Karen was busy enthralling the girls with her insights and tarot readings.  Interestingly Karen's comment on the day without watching any of the footy was 'I'm feeling the boys are very sluggish today!'.  I asked if she could muster up some of her 'angels' but they didn't get there act together until the last 20 minutes!!

Luke Williamson made his fist visit to the lounge.  At first he thought he was getting recurring concussion problems when faced with the chandelier, shaggy carpets, feathery cushions and Venetian mirrors but then realised it was the Eagles Angels Lounge!  We all assured him we were definitely at Brookie.

I invited Darryl Brohman from 2GB's Continuous Call to the lounge but unfortunately he didn't make it - so myself, Wendy, Debbie and Shelley went to the broadcast box and visited the boys.  I made up special gift bags for Ray Hadley, Bob Fulton, Steve Roach and Darryl Brohman.  The bags contained gifts from our wonderful sponsors.  I received an email from Ray Hadley telling me the boys had eaten the Chocolate Pot choccies in the broadcast box but the rest of the gift bags made it home to their wives!

Sarah and Lachlan Murdoch always come along to the Broncos match but they had to go to someone's wedding - no prizes for guessing who's!!!   (Didn't she look gorgeous by the way - first time in ages I'm going to buy New Idea to see the pics) Lachlan I'm sure will be kicking himself because as a Broncos supporter it's been a long time since they've beaten us at Brookie - he really would have enjoyed it.  Sarah on the other hand I'm sure was happy being at the wedding - I know I would have!

Oh well - next game is this Friday evening against Newcastle.  Until next time........

See all the photos from our day
