Well hello everyone!  How many times have you watched the Grand Final since last October?  In our family I would say around 12 times, with my husband sneaking in solitary viewings of at least another 6!!!  It’s almost surreal.  We watch it each time pretending we don't know what's going to happen...silly I know, but oh boy it's fun.  We went along on the day with Georgia Toovey and caught up with Wendy and family.  We yelled, we cried, we sang and laughed, I think for a whole week!!  40 Nil....wow!
 
Now the Eagles Angels....well 2009 is shaping up to be a wonderful season for us.  I'm sure you've heard the rumours that we have a new Major Sponsor; Warringah Mall!  So for the 2009 season (and hopefully beyond) we will be known as the Warringah Mall Eagles Angels!  Perfect fit don't you think?  Shopping!!!  It's what all girls love to do!  When I told the girls of the sponsorship Deb Watson remarked that it was perfect considering we spend all our money there!!  The official announcement is going to happen March 4 with a media event at the mall.  The way things are shaping up it's looking like 100% attendance which I have to tell you all is a major achievement as these girls are so busy!
 
With the sponsorship we will be doing lots of events throughout the season, all with a charity focus.  We have our lounge which will get a revamp.  I can't tell you much about that at the moment as we are still planning which way to decorate it.  However it's going to look fabulous.  I'll tell you more on that soon. 
 
As far as the website goes you will notice that Aaron 'Website Guru' Markie has put together a new look with our new logo.  Watch out for more of the hugely popular Women of Manly interviews.  In fact there are two new ones on the website now.  I'm going to continue with my View from the Lounge articles and I'm also going to post some interesting interviews with our wonderful Angels.  Oh I forgot to mention.....we have two new recruits; Naomi Flood, World Champion Ironwoman and Melissa Femia, Radio Presenter and on 2Day FM.  Both girls are passionate Manly fans and both are so looking forward to being part of the team.  We also may have a surprise recruit....but more on her later.
 
So I'm going to dig out my maroon and white apparel and send them off to the drycleaners so they are fresh for the new season!
